    A Secured Bond Is Showing. What Happens Next?

    When a secured bond shows in the custody or release information, EZPZ Bail Bonds reviews the available details to see whether the bond can move forward — and what has to happen first.

    1. Gather the available information

      Start with what you have — the person’s full legal name, where they’re being held, the secured bond amount, and any booking or case information available. You don’t need every detail before EZPZ Bail Bonds can begin the review.

    2. Review the bond and requirements

      EZPZ Bail Bonds reviews the bond amount, custody information, and applicable requirements to determine whether the bond is something we can handle. The bond does not move forward until that review is complete and the applicable requirements are understood.

    3. Review cost and paperwork

      If the bond can move forward, EZPZ Bail Bonds explains the premium, any approved payment arrangement, cosigner responsibilities, collateral if applicable, and the paperwork before anything is signed.

    4. Complete the eligible bond

      Once the required agreement is completed and the bond is ready, EZPZ Bail Bonds can post the bond through the proper process. This step does not guarantee release.

    5. The detention facility completes release processing

      The facility verifies the posted bond, checks for other holds or cases, and applies any court-ordered conditions. The detention facility — not EZPZ Bail Bonds — controls final release processing. Posting a bond and completing release are not the same step.

    What Will the Bail Bond Cost?

    The bond amount and the bail bond premium are not the same thing. A judicial official sets the bond amount; the premium is what is charged for the professional surety bond.

    North Carolina law limits the premium for a professional surety bond to no more than 15% of the bond amount. The premium is separate from the court-ordered bond amount, and EZPZ Bail Bonds does not set that bond amount.

    Example only — not a quote: On a $5,000 secured bond, the legal maximum premium would be $750. The exact premium and payment terms depend on the bond and the arrangement that is approved.

    Payment arrangements may be available depending on the bond and approval requirements. EZPZ Bail Bonds accepts cash, debit cards, and major credit cards. A payment plan is not guaranteed, and the terms depend on what is reviewed and approved.

    Collateral may be required depending on the bond and circumstances. It is not another fee, and it is not required in every case.
